Pokémon (POH-kay-mahn) are amazing creatures with special powers. Pokémon is Japanese for "Pocket Monster". There are 150 different Pokémon in all. Each one has a distinct personality and set of abilities. Some Pokémon are electric, some are poison or flying or fighting. Some are even ghost pokémon.
As a Pokémon trainer, your goal is to collect one of each Pokémon. You can even train your Poké friends to become stronger and smarter. Then they may evolve, or change, into new Pokémon. There's so much to learn and do.
